Which is the composition of the hydraulic tile?
The handmade hydraulic tile is mainly composed of cement at its base and at the top of pigments and marble dust.
Why is it called a hydraulic tile?
The name comes from the same manufacturing process, as the tiles are made by means of a hydraulic press. This technique is used to remove water and get the hardness of the material.
Is the hydraulic tile made in ovens?
No, ovens are not used in the manufacture of the hydraulic tile. The tiles are pressed in the hydraulic press and then dries until the cement acquires the optimum hardness for its installation.
Does the hydraulic tile have a seamless pattern?
The beauty of a hydraulic tile lies in its imperfections and natural irregularities as a result of the craft process. Keep in mind that each tile requires a time of production of 2 to 6 minutes, depending on the difficulty of the design and the amount of colors it contains. This artisan process makes each piece unique, which gives the hydraulic tile its charm and exclusivity.
Seamless tiles are the result of imitation techniques, as the appearance and texture of each handmade hydraulic tile is always different. The tiles that imitate the hydraulic tile are a totally different product in terms of quality, use, texture, colors and finish.

Yes. This type of material is a good conductor of heat, as well as providing a soft and delicate texture to the touch. It must be taken into account that the underfloor heating can not be operated until the floor is perfectly dry.
Should a dilatation joint be left?
For indoor installation it is not necessary. In exterior it is recommended when the surface tiled is greater than 20m², in which case it would be necessary to leave a dilatation joint of half a centimeter.
Is it usual for the tiles to stain?
Hydraulic tiles are stained just like any other type of tile. The only difference with a conventional stoneware floor is that you have to use a sealant when installing to close the pores and prevent stains from penetrating. This product is easy to apply with a brush. We recommend that you strictly follow our assembly and maintenance.
What regular maintenance should I do? Is this soil difficult to maintain?
Caring for our soil is simple but important. Apply colorless liquid wax from time to time to give greater protection to the tile and prevent the sealant from wearing out.
Is the installation complicated?
The installation is simple, however, we recommend you read our assembly and maintenance instructions carefully and follow all the steps necessary for their perfect placement.
